Domestic students
If a student’s application is successful, they will be offered a place to study at Kingston Institute Melbourne. Once they have received an offer it is important that they respond to it by accepting it to ensure their place at the Institute is reserved.

Once they have accepted the offer, they will be required to enroll in the course. They will need to attend the orientation and enrolment session being held on the intake as shown in their offer letter. There are designated enrolment dates/days.

What happens on the enrolment day?

• Unit enrolments and Timetabling
• Issuance of student ID card and computer account processing 
• Meeting the academic and student support staff members, and receive advice regarding their choice of units, course and enrolments.

What if I cannot attend?

Defer the Offer
If students wish to defer their studies, they must do so before the offer acceptance and enrolment date specified in their offer letter. Students can defer upto one year. If you have any questions, you can send email at: sydney@kingstonmelbourne.institute or call (02) 80652990.

International students
If a student’s application is successful, they will be offered a place to study at the Institute. Their letter of offer will contain the following information:

• The program they have been offered
• Tuition fees payable
• The amount of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) payable
• Initial amount to pay
• Any additional information relevant to their program including conditions of offer
• A detailed guide for accepting their offer including ‘Offer acceptance form’, terms and conditions of enrolment, and fee payment and refund policy of the institute, etc.

Once students read their letter of offer it is important that they respond to it by accepting it to ensure their place at the Institute is reserved and send the following documents

• A copy of fully filled and signed offer acceptance form
• Copies of the relevant pages of their passport (with visa page if onshore applicant)
• Additional documents (e.g., conditional documents stated in offer, work experience document, marriage certificate, etc. where applicable)
• Email, fax and postal address

To accept an offer for a place of study at Kingston Institute Melbourne and obtain a student visa for their study, the student should complete the following tasks.

• Complete, sign and return the Offer Acceptance form together with a payment for the tuition fees, OSHC fees and other applicable fees as detailed in the offer letter. Payment can be made by a bank draft or telegraphic transfer in Australian dollars made payable to the Institute.
• Once the Institute has received the fees as detailed in the offer letter and the signed Offer Acceptance form, a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be sent to the student via email, fax, or through the Institute’s educational agent if the student has used such services.
• Take the CoE and the offer letter to the nearest Australian diplomatic mission (or Department of Immigration and Border Protection, DIBP office if applying in Australia).
• If the student is coming from an Assessment Level 1 country, he/she should be able to apply for a visa electronically through the DIBP website (immi.gov.au).
• Unlike before, students coming from Assessment Levels 3 & 4 countries no longer need to go through preliminary visa assessment. Once the application is lodged to the DIBP, case officer will either approve or refuse the application based on the submitted documents. Also applicants from India, People’s Republic of China, Vietnam and Thailand can lodge student visa application online if they are at their country of birth at the time of application.
• Once the visa is approved and the students have confirmed their travel arrangements, they should send the arrival details to the Institute.
• Students from the Assessment Level 5 countries should visit the nearest Australian diplomatic mission or DHA office for advice before accepting an offer.
